When hidden behind, i.e. used as a reason to be dismissive "there is no research to support that" we forget that many current clinical practices are actually not based in the most current evidence but on expert opinion, created after reviewing the best evidence of the day. Plus, in all of these guidelines, we can lose sight of the actual food.
